Uno Mega Menu · Effective August 21, 2026
Uno Mega Menu ("the app") helps Shopify merchants build navigation menus for their storefront. This policy explains what the app stores, why it stores it and how it is protected.
Information the app stores
- Shop identification. The myshopify domain of your store together with the access tokens Shopify issues during installation. These are required for the app to operate inside your admin.
- Menu configuration. The menus, designs, badges, saved menus, uploaded font references and settings you create in the builder. This configuration is stored in a metafield on your own shop.
- Menu analytics counters. Anonymous counters per menu element: opens, clicks, adds to cart, and, when an item added from the menu is later paid for, sale counts and amounts. Each counter is a number attached to a menu element and a date. No visitor or customer is ever identified.
Information the app does not collect
The app does not collect, store or process personal data about your customers. To attribute sales to the menu, it receives order webhooks and reads only: its own line item marker (set when a visitor adds a product from the menu), line quantities, line prices and their discounts, the order's identifier (kept only to make sure no order is ever counted twice) and the order's creation date (to place the sale on the right day). Customer names, emails, phone numbers, addresses, payment details and every other field are never read, stored or processed, and the rest of the order is discarded immediately. The app contains no advertising trackers and sets no cookies on storefronts.
How information is used
Stored data is used for two purposes only: rendering your menu in the builder and on your storefront, and showing you, the merchant, how your menu performs (clicks, adds to cart and attributed sales in the Analytics page). If you use the Auto-translate feature, the text of your menu is sent to Google Cloud Translation API to generate the translation. Beyond that, nothing is ever sold, rented or shared with third parties.
Where information lives
Session data is stored in a managed PostgreSQL database hosted on Railway. Menu configuration lives in Shopify metafields on your own store. When Auto-translate is used, menu text is also sent to Google Cloud Translation API for processing; see Google's own privacy policy for how they handle it. Traffic between your browser, Shopify and the app is encrypted with TLS.
Data retention and deletion
Fine-grained analytics counters and the order identifiers used for deduplication are kept for 90 days, then automatically deleted; only anonymous monthly totals are kept beyond that. When you uninstall the app, Shopify revokes its access and the app deletes the associated session data; 48 hours later, the shop/redact webhook triggers deletion of every remaining record for your shop, analytics counters included. Shop data removal requests sent by Shopify through the mandatory compliance webhooks (customers/data_request, customers/redact, shop/redact) are honored automatically. You can also request deletion at any time by email.
Your rights
You can ask what data the app holds about your shop, request a copy or request deletion. Write to the address below; requests are answered within 30 days.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the new version is published at this address with an updated effective date.
